The Legacy Scholarship is our highest level of support.
It is designed for students whose educational journey is at serious risk due to financial hardship, yet who continue to show determination, discipline, and potential.
This scholarship provides comprehensive educational support so students can remain focused on learning instead of worrying whether they will be able to stay in school.
What makes this program different is the care taken in understanding each student’s story.
We work closely with families, schools, and trusted community connections to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges students face and the potential they carry. This personal approach helps ensure that support reaches students whose lives can be truly transformed by opportunity.

Not every student requires full support throughout their entire educational journey—but many still need help to keep moving forward.
The Renewable Scholarship provides ongoing assistance that students may reapply for over time, based on their continued need, progress, and commitment to education.
This pathway allows GOW to support more students while encouraging resilience, accountability, and perseverance.

Education Pathways and Where They Lead
The Gordon Oloowere Foundation (GOW) is a private foundation dedicated to expanding access to education and opportunity for students in underserved communities across Kenya.
Founded in honor of Gordon Oloowere, a man who believed deeply in the power of education, personal responsibility, and service to others, GOW exists to remove financial and structural barriers that prevent bright, motivated students from completing their education.
We believe that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Through targeted scholarships, community partnerships, mentorship, and practical support, we work to ensure that every student we support has a real chance to succeed.
Our work goes beyond funding tuition. We invest in the whole student by supporting academic progress, personal development, family engagement, and long-term independence.

Legacy Behind the Foundation
At GOW Foundation, we believe, given adequate opportunity, every young man or young woman has the potential to make our world a better place. We believe in the sentiments about the importance of education expressed by Nelson Mandela, the first African President of South Africa, one of Africau2019s greatest freedom fighters, symbol of moral courage and great leadership. Mandela believed education was key to personal growth and that its a key element to lifting up of any group of people our of poverty.
